"Walk slowly and drink lots of water" - Haruki MurakamiAs the finals week is approaching, we see more and more students cramming, staying up late at night, not eating well, and worst of all getting stressed out. Of course these words of advice are written and spoken many times but still they only make sense for that 1 minute it takes for the person to read them. But I digress, still going to write it down if it is only for my own reminder.
The body is a machine, a temporary vessel that for the life that is given to us. Like a machine, it will only work well if it is finely tuned and consistently serviced. A well oiled machine runs smoothly, efficiently, and most importantly happily. A rusty machine takes a lot more to be service and risks breaking down for no observable reasons. So, sleep well, eat well, and most importantly don't forget to stretch after each long session of studying.
The mind, a blade. A dull blade cuts things slowly and requires effort. So sharpened your blade, and you will face you endeavors fearlessly. Meditate, go for a walk, and refrain from overstimulation of your brain with junk.
The body and the mind are one. If either one is polluted, so will the other. Your body is a temple. A place to seek solace and prayer. Clean it as you would a place of worship and your mind will thank you for it.
Finally, lots of love and good luck!! If all else fails, give out hugs when you feel bad. I'm sure everyone needs one!
